Job description

The Credit Risk Manager is crucial in executing the Bank's credit risk monitoring, analysis, and reporting initiatives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to shape credit strategies, provide guidance on execution, and oversee portfolio monitoring. The focus will be on identifying systemic issues, control weaknesses, process improvements, and assessing risks that could affect the organization.

Effective credit risk management is essential for the Bank, ensuring that lending activities align with strategic goals and risk tolerance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 7-10 years in credit, credit risk, credit portfolio management, and/or credit administration within a financial institution or U.S. regulatory agency (e.g., OCC, FRB).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of applicable laws and regulations governing the lending industry, including regulatory compliance.
  • Commercial Banking Expertise: Demonstrated experience in commercial lending and credit risk management, with strong proficiency in data analysis, systems, models, and reporting tools.
  • Risk Management: Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess credit structures, identify and mitigate risks, and make informed decisions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across business lines.
  • Initiative: Solutions-oriented, intellectually curious, and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple objectives simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Deadline-focused with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organization: Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of performing under pressure.
  • Industry Interest: Strong desire to work in commercial banking, particularly within a community bank environment.
