Broadgate Search have partnered up with a growing software company in their search for a Team Lead - Tax & VAT Compliance. This opportunity can be based out of Hamburg, Germany or remotely in Europe. The company focuses on accounting and VAT solutions for e-commerce businesses in Europe.
 
We are seeking a Team Lead - Tax & VAT Compliance to develop, implement, and oversee the compliance strategy across the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Poland, and Italy. This role is crucial for ensuring full VAT regulatory alignment and maintaining compliance with local laws, including tax regulations and data protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy tailored to regional requirements.
• Regulatory Updates: Stay informed on regulatory changes to ensure the company’s full compliance with local laws.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to identify compliance risks, focusing on financial penalties and data privacy.
• Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate compliance reporting, regularly updating senior leadership on performance and emerging risks.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably with multi-country responsibility.
• VAT Expertise: Strong understanding of VAT and tax compliance for CZ, GB, PL, and IT, including local regulatory nuances.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, capable of presenting complex matters clearly.
