Finance Transformation - Business Analyst

A rapidly growing & global Life Insurer in Dublin has created a new position to support the group in its finance transformation project. You'd be joining as a Business Analyst within the Irish finance function supporting the delivery of a long-term, group-wide project to align accounting and reporting processes across all entities.

Your role would be to support your team in transitioning from existing platforms to new & improved cutting-edge SAP software. You'd also be supporting the establishment of a data platform to enhance reporting capabilities.

Whilst the above is specifically group-related projects, you'd also get experience locally in supporting various financial transformation activities such as the development and maintenance of its Data Warehouse system, system and process migrations and product launches.

Role Overview:

• Analyse & document existing processes & report back to senior stakeholders
• Support in defining finance transformation requirements specifically in relation to a Data Pool
• Provide analysis on data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions. Incredible opportunity to think outside the box & innovative in your solutions.
• Ability to turn business needs into actionable insights, leveraging data models
• Support in the implementation of direct interfaces and feeder systems
• Support in the design SAP GL /subledger processes that enhance workflows and data management.
• Align end-to-end processes with integrated systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA and FioneerPosting Gateway) and the big picture.
• Utilise Power BI reports to simplify complex financial data

About you:

• Several years experience working within a finance function, ideally with experience supporting finance transformation and system implementation projects in a cross functional environment. Accounting or Finance qualification would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with S/4 HANA, SAP ECC (FI/CO) SQL, AZURE
• Power BI would also be useful
