Broadgate are partnered with a dynamic and expanding bank in the search for a Head Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of accounting expertise and a solid understanding of financial practices within the banking industry. This role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to strategic goals, handling all accounting matters of the company on a day-to-day basis and playing a key role in the development of the business.

Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Salary: c.CHF150k

Responsibilities:

• Further develop processes in the Accounting division.
• Maintain and enhance the core banking system and subsystems with a focus on financial accounting functionalities.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare the monthly reporting to the Executive Board and the Board of Directors.
• Maintain and further develop the Internal Control System over Financial Reporting.
• Assist the CFRO in the annual budgeting process.
• Assist the CFRO in Finance and Accounting projects.
• Responsible for liaising with FINMA and following Swiss Accounting Practices.

Requirements:

• Professional experience of at least 5 years in Accounting or Controlling within a bank in Switzerland.
• Experience and strong knowledge of the local accounting standards.
• Fluent German and English
