Risk & Capital Modelling Analyst - £45,000-£50,000

You'll play a key role in the company's risk management efforts, focusing on Solvency II and working closely with a Lloyd's Syndicate. In this role, you'll develop your expertise in risk and capital modeling, gain insight into how risk is managed at an enterprise level, and have the opportunity to support your actuarial studies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Help develop and maintain internal capital models, creating reports to support decision-making.
  • Work with the model validation team, providing the data and reports needed for validation testing.
  • Support the creation of reports for exposure management and catastrophe modeling.
  • Assist with submissions such as capital reports for Lloyd's Syndicate.
  • Contribute to broader risk management strategies and take part in ad-hoc projects that will give you exposure to various aspects of the business.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A strong academic record with a degree in a numerate or statistical field
  • You have some knowledge or experience in the Property & Casualty (re-)insurance market, and you're ready to take your skills to the next level.
  • Interested in pursuing or continuing actuarial qualifications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with any programming skills being a plus.
  • You're detail-oriented with a methodical approach to solving problems.
  • Capable of working with large, complex data sets.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, allowing you to work effectively in a team.
