I am seeking a fully qualified accountant with experience in management accounting or finance to join one of my clients. This is a 6 month day rate contract, which requires an ASAP start date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide management accounting and financial support across various departments.
• Ensure the successful delivery of financial services and meet institutional objectives.
• Innovate and implement improvements to financial policies and processes.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, offering insights and solutions to enhance financial performance.
• Manage and lead a team to drive results and maintain high standards of service delivery.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in a management accounting or finance role.
• Demonstrated success in service delivery and financial management.
• Excellent IT skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex financial data clearly.
• Ability to operate and influence at a senior level, working comfortably with various stakeholders.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience in team management.
• Previous experience working within a Higher Education institution.
• Familiarity with the current funding environment for research and teaching.
• Experience using Oracle Financial or similar accounting software.
